As of March 19, 2026, unidentified drones have been detected flying over Fort Lesley J. McNair in Washington, D.C., a high-security U.S. Army base where Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth maintain residences. They don’t know who is operating the drone. The Pentagon has not officially made a statement.
